When a MacBook or iPhone fails, it is usually one component on the logic board that has failed — a power IC, a capacitor, a burnt track. Most repair shops replace the entire board because it is easier. We work under a microscope to find and replace the failed component, which costs far less and keeps your original board, serial number and storage intact.

It depends on the model — a 13-inch Air panel and a 16-inch Pro Retina assembly are completely different parts. Send us the model and we will give you a firm number, or book the free pickup and we will price it properly once the fault is confirmed. You approve the price before any work starts.

Yes, and they are most of the bench now. Apple Silicon boards are harder to work on than Intel ones — the SSD is soldered to the board and paired to it, so a board swap takes your data with it. That is exactly why component-level repair matters more on these machines, not less. We also handle T2 Macs, where the same pairing applies.

Screens, batteries, charging ports and thermal service are normally same-day. Liquid damage and board-level repairs typically take two to four working days, because the board needs cleaning, drying and proper testing. You get a firm date with your quote.

In the vast majority of repairs your data is untouched. Where a repair does carry risk we tell you before starting, and we can take a backup first. For devices that are already dead, data recovery is a service in itself.

Original or original-equivalent parts, chosen per device. For screens and batteries we tell you which grade you are getting and what that means, so you can choose. Cheap parts fail twice, and the warranty is ours to honour.

If the device is still inside Apple’s warranty or an active AppleCare plan, take it to Apple first — we will tell you so rather than take the job. Once that cover has expired there is nothing left to void, and a third-party repair cannot retrospectively remove a warranty that has already ended. Where a machine still has cover and you would prefer we handle it anyway, we will explain exactly what you give up before touching anything.
